You will never be able to close a bulletproof vest with a zipper in the dark. A bulletproof vest with numerous Velcro flaps that you first have to open in the dark also doesn't work. A stab and bulletproof vest with complicated plastic fasteners will also never close in the dark. I recommend a simple model with two large side Velcro fasteners and possibly Molle webbing where you can attach some useful accessories.
