Emergency Kit Belgium D-2024 basic

The Belgian Emergency Kit D-2024 Basic was assembled based on the advice of the Belgian Ministry of Interior, December 2024. The components have been tested by us for functionality in a real emergency situation.  Attention was paid to ensure that the emergency kit can be used during floods with a large battery capacity reserve of 30,000 mAh, which can be used to power a lamp, mobile phone, and emergency radio for a very long time (several days).

First Aid - waterproof first aid kit, there is still room to store some of your personal medication waterproof. The contents are protected against water and mud. 

Notebook: water-resistant notebook to write down important phone numbers. 

Universal charger for mobile phone or laptop (depending on your mobile phone, you also bring your personal mobile phone charger)

External battery - power bank 30,000 mAh (depending on your other electrical components, the lamp, mobile phone or emergency radio can be connected to this)

Lighter - 1 piece

Tealights - 10 pieces with 8 hours burn time (only for use in ventilated areas) 

Pocket knife - multi-tool (offers many more possibilities than a regular knife)

Flashlight - Rechargeable on emergency radio or power bank (powerful beam for signaling) 

Battery-powered radio - Small compact emergency radio with light, rechargeable with 2000 mAh battery, crank, and solar panel. 

Waterproof bag: - all items that must not get wet can be stored in here. 

Backpack - Tactical backpack with Molle webbing to which additional pouches can be attached.

The government deliberately did not advise food and drink in your emergency kit to avoid panic and hoarding situations. This does not mean that you cannot store water and some food in your emergency kit. There is still enough space in the backpack to store 2 liters of water and some food (cans or emergency rations).
