The Pollux with the bullet and stab-resistant package 3A GRAN NIJ-0101.04 is a rather old model that has been sold for years to the great satisfaction of customers. The bulletproof protection is based on the older version of the American NIJ standard and offers protection against 9x19mm NATO -.44 Magnum calibers. (Sioen Ballistics informs us that this bulletproof package was tested in the lab against the 7.62x25mm Tokarev caliber). This 3A GRAN NIJ-0101.04 package from Sioen Ballistics has lower bulletproof protection than the MT-PRO-GEN7 bulletproof package 3A NIJ-0101.06 from Engarde.
This 3A NIJ-0101.04 bulletproof package is extensively certified against attacks with bladed weapons. Certified against knives according to the English HOSDB 2007 standard with the P1 / B knife at 25 Joules with a maximum penetration of less than 20 mm. Also certified according to the American standard NIJ-0115.00 level II with the S1 / G knife at 33 and 50 Joules. Also certified against spikes according to the English HOSDB 2007 standard with the SP spike 24 Joules with a maximum penetration of 10mm.
