Use in an emergency kit

You can eat this product either cold or hot. The flavor is best enjoyed when the contents of the can are heated.

- Pour the contents of the can into a pan, stainless steel mug or aluminum cooking set.

- Heat the contents in a microwave.

- Open the can and place it in a bowl of hot water (make a bain-marie).

It is strongly advised not to place the can directly over a fire!

- If you have no other option in an emergency:

  • Remove the lid completely: Open the can completely so that the pressure can escape.
  • Remove the paper label: This prevents the paper from catching fire and producing smoke.
  • Use indirect heat: Do not place the can directly in the flames. Place it at the edge of the campfire on the hot coals, or hold it a short distance above the flames.
  • Keep stirring: Because the heat is applied directly to the thin can, the noodles and goulash sauce will burn onto the bottom very quickly. Keep stirring continuously with a spoon.

For an emergency stove, it is best to use a 500 or 750ml stainless steel mug with some water in it and place the can inside.
